Seven Songs Organic Farm

This ever-evolving, agro-ecological dream is the brainchild of Melissa Driscoll. Using the energy of the “seven songs” which include energy from the four directions, energy from the sky and the earth, and energy from the farmer (and my family and community of friends) I grow Certified Organic fruits, herbs and vegetables and Animal Welfare Approved eggs. Some of my more important crops are garlic, ginger, turmeric, tomatoes, peppers, and various herbs. I sell primarily to chefs and food makers, and I’m willing to grow what any local chef or food maker is willing to buy.

For pleasure, preservation, and soil fertility, I also raise rare heritage breed Delaware laying hens on pasture using the “Eggmobile” I designed (and my friends and family helped me create). My Animal Welfare Approved eggs are available for purchase through what customers call the “Egg CSA”. See the Pastured Eggs page for more information about the chickens, eggs, and what Animal Welfare Approved really means.

You can find my amazingly delicious fruits, vegetables, and herbs in the following prepared specialty foods:

My produce can also be found at the Forest to Fork store at Keg and Case Market, and in The Good Acre CSA.

I’d love to stay in touch about news from the farm and updates on products and availability. Sign up to receive my quarterly newsletter!

My Philosophy

I believe that ecology and agriculture must be complementary to sustain human life on earth. I model this by providing delicious organic herbs, fruits and vegetables, and Animal Welfare Approved eggs grown in a watershed- and earth-friendly way to my friends and neighbors. I believe that good food is essential for good health. I sustain our farm and ourselves by charging a fair price for what I consider the most healthy, best tasting, and ecologically sound food available!
